Russian Red

A popular Rocambole hardneck distinguished by its large copper-veined, purple blotched bulbs, producing 8-12 cloves.  Strong flavor with a sweet aftertaste.  Very hot when eaten raw.  Harvests late June to early July, storing into mid winter.
